The meaning of „Karanga“ (Swahili) is „peanut“ which is a part of Moshi/Tanzania. In this idyllic place the parish of reverend father Wilibald Maningi is situated. The guest house of Karanga offers all kinds of tourists and their interests an authentic accomodation to spend their holidays, therefore it is not only suitable for volunteers!

The house is open for everybody who wants to visit the beautiful land of Kilimanjaro around Moshi. The Karanga area is guarded at night so you do not have to worry about your possessions or well-being. For your culinary needs delicious food is served by the cooking lady Radegunde Laurent and her charming kitchen girls. They even cook „Wiener Schnitzel“ and other Austrian food for you if you desire –  of course they know almost every regional dish as well. Furthermore Karanga accomodates a seminary for young priests and the area has been upgraded by a newly built swimming pool to refresh you when the thermometer climbs up to 30 degrees or more.
